Trinity Arms is nestled in beautiful Yamhill County, Oregon.  We offer a wide range of gunsmithing services, sales and education.

Our gunsmith, Erik, is a native Oregonian.  He grew up on the southern Oregon coast in a small community called Myrtle Point.  Raised in a logging and hunting family, Erik came by his talents naturally.  He began hunting alongside his father & mother, aunts & uncles and grandparents as soon as he could walk.  Thus began a lifelong passion of the outdoors and shooting sports.  He grew up in the woods and had an ingrained curiosity for how things work from a very young age.  Erik’s parents were frequently puzzled when they walked into a room where he had torn apart a firearm because he couldn’t resist the urge to find out how it worked or would be troubleshooting a problem.  They were equally impressed when he would fix the problem and reassemble the firearm.  Erik was originally an Electrical & Robotics Engineer in the Semi-Conductor industry, working with partial microns at places like Intel.  But an injury opened the door for an opportunity to work in his real field of passion; firearms and the shooting sports.  Erik has been working on both rifles and pistols for over 20 years privately.

As Erik’s engineering career abruptly ended, along came Master Gunsmith and Web Master GURU, Dennis Collins.  He is the mastermind, and owner, of Striperadio.  He has helped Erik fine tune his skills on many “guinea pig” guns, test bluing, various adjustments and repairs, trigger jobs, the list is endless.  Dennis has been a wonderful mentor and has brought out the best in Erik’s skills and talent.

“My passion for firearms started when I was in grade school, reading a LIFE Magazine from WWII.  My curiosity was peaked by all of those different arms”, Erik recalls.  “So I read every book I could find.  My library ran out of books about firearms, so I scrounged for any gun magazine I could find.  I have been fascinated by them in many ways.  I have shot most disciplines and have enjoyed everything from a single shot 22 to exotic hand cannons.”

We look forward to helping you reach your hunting and shooting goals.  Please give us a call 503-537-2104 or email us to see how we can help.
